ABSTRACT
The cognitive-behavioral theory grew out of a set of theories. It is a practice of brief intervention, semi-structured and focus. The core principles of CBT argue that our cognitions and emotions influence our behavior, just as the way we behave can affect our thoughts and emotions. Children are usually referred to therapy because of their emotions and / or behavior problems. This article aims to describe what is CBT and how it intervenes in children with no limits, and set out what is and how parents can work with the proper upbringing of the child through a case study experienced in the NPA (Center for Applied Psychology) of UNIME Itabuna.
